Vex 7
You drop into Vex 7 mid-stride, sliding under a saw blade before your stick figure settles into rhythm. Act One wastes no time on spikes and crumbling ledges, so you adapt your timing fast or respawn at the last checkpoint flag.

The Nine Acts of Vex 7
Vex 7 spreads its punishment across nine acts, split into sections linked by red-to-green checkpoint flags. Dying on a run of buzzsaws or ninja stars only sends you back to the last flag touched. Thorns, darts, laser beams, and open chasms appear before the halfway point, and later acts stack several hazards into one jump.
Movement stays simple on paper — run, slide, wall jump — but chaining those under pressure is where runs fall apart.
Speedrunners treat the flags as a routing puzzle, while completionists comb every alternate path an act offers.
- Buzzsaws that force a timed slide or jump
- Spikes and thorns past blind corners
- Darts and ninja stars timed to your movement
- Chasms that punish a late wall jump
Vex 7’s Tower of Terror and Star Chasing
Each act carries three optional star tasks, and collecting all three unlocks that level’s hardcore version, which reuses the layout with extra hazards. Tower Coins are the collectible tied to the Tower of Terror, a descending gauntlet where you drop floor by floor through a guarded structure.
- Clear an act’s main path to the finish flag
- Complete all three star tasks
- Attempt the hardcore version
Not every player loves the star tasks — some demand near-frame-perfect wall jumps closer to memorization than skill, a common gripe. Casual players tend to skip them and push for the finish flag instead.
The Tower of Terror still gives the grind a destination, reusing the same slide-and-wall-jump memory the acts already built. It plays like the game’s reward lap after nine acts of dying on the same three hazards.
Do you need all the stars to finish Vex 7?
No. The nine acts are completable without a single star, since stars only gate the optional hardcore versions.
What happens when you die mid-act?
Your stickman respawns at the last checkpoint flag you turned green, so a death costs you only the section since that flag.
Is the Tower of Terror different from the regular acts?
Yes — you descend floor by floor collecting Tower Coins instead of running horizontally, closer to a vertical gauntlet than the nine acts.
Vex 7 earns its difficulty honestly: nothing kills you without warning once you’ve learned a section, and the checkpoint flags keep the punishment fair. Whether you’re chasing star tasks or Tower Coins through the Tower of Terror, that slide-and-wall-jump rhythm pulls you back for one more run.
